Susan started painting after varied careers both as a musician and composer and as an entrepreneur and startup business coach.
She is currently studying oil painting under one of America's foremost portrait painters, Kevin Murphy.
She says, "Painting people is fascinating for me. There's something special about painting someone - you get to know them in a way that's unlike anything else. Portraiture requires the painter to have technical skill, but more than that compassion for the sitter & an ability to reveal something about who they are in visual form."
